Location
The cottage is set in 240 acres of pasture and woodland and commands probably one of the finest views to be found in the Northern Lakes. It is a working sheep farm. Within easy driving distance are Derwent Water, Thirlmere, Ullswater and the famous waterfall 'AiraForce', Buttermere, Loweswater and Crummock Water. The towns of Keswick and Cockermouth, the birthplace of the poet William Wordsworth, are also nearby.
Access
Right from the ramp to the wide front door every thought has been given to making the life of a wheelchair user as straightforward as possible. Once through the front door there is a wide hallway from which the main living areas, a twin bedroom and wet room are all readily accessible.
Accommodation
The living room is at the back of the cottage to make best use of the views and has direct access into the furnished patio area. The newly fitted and spacious kitchen is through the lounge and also has direct access onto the patio – great for outdoors dining and entertaining!
The ground floor bedroom is spacious and comprises two fully electrically-adjustable beds as well as space for all your travel needs. There are views from the window and the bathroom is immediately next-door. For those requiring use of a hoist there are support brackets over one bed.
The two upstairs bedrooms are bright and spacious too. Both can be setup as either twins or superkings with one offering an ensuite bathroom whilst the other has an ensuite shower room.

Facilities
The cottage has a unique character and, most importantly, has been updated with those less mobile in mind. Having taken guidance from previous customers, kitchens that have wheel-under sinks and hobs, bathrooms that have lowered vanities and mirrors as well as wheel-over shower decks or shower chairs. Even the bedrooms have been adapted with such things as low hanging wardrobe space and wheel under dressing tables.

The cottage is ideal for families, including people with disabilities who wish to explore the beautiful and remote area which overlooks beautiful scenery.
