Location
This cottage is one of many cottages part of a larger complex, it is situated in the luscious greenery that is the forest of Highampton, Devon. This is the perfect escape from the city, it allows for total relaxation in a gorgeous rural area. There are a host of activities on site including fishing, a play area, a shop, the clubhouse and animals!
Jack the Shetland pony, four goats Smartie, Minstrels, Wispa and Twirl, Alpacas Jasmine, Sidney, Prudence and Al. The alpacas look forward to a morning snack of carrots and apple however they begrudgingly share these with the lovely donkeys Arthur and Henry. Henry and Arthur are very playful and enjoy running around their spacious field and trying to sneak into their food cupboard for an extra snack.
New equipment has been installed in the children’s play area. Younger guests will find a new swing set, a play house with a slide, and a four person see-saw to go alongside the existing play fort. There is a very large wide open play area, suitable for those who want to practice their golf pitching techniques, or who have active kids who like to run around a lot!
In the clubhouse the licensed bar offers a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as coffees. Wi-Fi is available in the clubhouse for those wanting to keep in touch with the outside world, plus the large screen TV will show sporting events. Next to the bar is the games room for those who fancy a game of darts or a turn on the pool table. Outside of the building is a giant chess set for guests to enjoy.
Access
The cottage has been designed with accessibility in mind and allows for easy wheelchair access. Entrance ramps, plenty of space for wheelchair access in rooms and a wet room shower facility is in place to help less able bodied guests. We have a wheelchair and an electric mobility scooter available on loan and there are also wheelchair friendly swims and access to three lakes plus an accessible children’s play area. Please note that the roads and paths on site are gravelled.
Accommodation
The cottage has 3 bedrooms and accommodates up to 6 people with a double bedroom and wet room on the ground floor and a further double bedroom, a twin bedroom and the main bathroom found on the first floor. There is an open plan family living / dining room with a patio door leading to the decking area and a ramp to the path that leads to the park. Holly also features a fully fitted kitchen with hob/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster.
This goregous south facing cottage is very spacious, it features wooden floors, open wooden stairs, beams and offers glorious widescreen countryside views of Kitchen Lake and mature woodland.

This accommodation is self-catered, but if you fancy a night off from the cooking then you can enjoy a delightful meal in the clubhouse, with its beautiful view of the lakes. There is a selection of starters, classic mains, burgers, fish, pasta and more! There is a lot to choose from and for the children a brilliant kids menu. All of our meals are prepared fresh by the resident chef.
You can choose to sit in the dining area, outside to enjoy the sound of wildlife and see the lakes, or even at our bar.
