Location
This is a grade II listed barn with its own enclosed garden in the depths of the glorious Devon countryside. It has level access and a downstairs wetroom, however as the bedrooms are upstairs and there is no ground floor bedroom, a small double sprung sofabed or a single bed can be placed in the sitting room for wheelchair users with prior notice.
Access
On the ground floor there is disabled toilet and wetroom, with a wheeled shower chair and handrails. All doorways have been widened and the floors are level to make the rooms on the ground floor accessible for wheelchairs.
Accommodation
This cottage has four-poster, ensuite bedrooms and ‘away from it all’ feel, it is a great place for couples on a romantic break. Disabled visitors may find the wheelchair friendly doors, downstairs wet-room and other features of benefit. It is possible for a bed to be made available on the ground floor with prior notice as there is no current bedroom on the ground floor.
Double doors lead off left into the fitted oak kitchen/diner with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, slow cooker, microwave, electric halogen hob and cooker. A pine farmhouse table gives this spacious and sunny kitchen a lovely feel and seats up to 8 people. There is a telephone and WiFi.
To the right of the hall double doors open into the sitting room with 32" colour TV, DVD & video, radio/CD player. A three piece suite, sprung sofa bed and patio doors leading to the enclosed garden make this a comfortable and child friendly room. DVDs, videos, children’s games and books for all ages are provided.
Stairs with banisters on one side go up in three stages of three steps at a time, leading you up to two large family bedrooms. The owners can provide a cot, highchair & stair gate. One room has a TV, double four-poster bed, one single bed and an ensuite bathroom. The other, also with an ensuite bathroom, has a double bed, single bed and guest bed under. This room overlooks the garden whilst the other has double aspect windows overlooking the entrance and surrounding farmland. Both bathrooms have baths with electric showers over.
