Set at Higher Bockhampton, the cottage is a secret hideaway set in its own 4 acres of peaceful grounds and landscaped gardens.
Access
Please be aware that there is gravel on the driveway and paths around the site. There is also a small step into the shower so this property is most suited with those who still have some degree of mobility.
Accommodation
It has four bedrooms, sleeping eight people; one has a king size bed, another a double, the twin has zip link beds and there is a bunk bed kids' room with cot. The master bedroom with wrought iron bedstead and designer wall fire is very spacious and has a claw-foot roll top bath in the bedroom for a touch of decadence! An en-suite w/c and hand wash basin offer a real touch of luxury. The twin bedroom has an en-suite shower room with fantastic modern fittings. There is an additional family shower room with large shower cubicle, w/c and hand wash basin and a cloakroom w/c off the central hallway. All have beautiful tiles and modern facilities.
Facilities
The open-plan kitchen and sitting room area with television and DVD player is very well equipped with stylish seating and a comfortable table for dining and even a real log burning stove. The luxurious fabrics and furnishings, make this a warm, enticing environment in which to spend your holiday with family and friends. The kitchen is well equipped for eight people with all the necessary appliances (including double oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine) to make it easy to cater for everyone and keep the workload light. Enjoy the private enclosed garden area which has seating, table, umbrella and a barbecue for making the most of the weather. It also benefits from a private hot tub.
As well as offering plenty of space for strolling and relaxing, there are two en-tous-cas tennis courts, lawns for croquet and badminton, a children’s play area with swings and yurt (with toys and games) and a dogs' exercise paddock, in addition to the organic vegetable garden and pick your own fruit area, with free range chickens providing eggs, to be enjoyed by all the family. There is also a magnificent Roman-style indoor heated swimming pool with full changing facilities, a large sauna and sitting area.
