Accommodation
Originally a grain and cider store since long before the thatched barn it was attached to caught-fire in 1929, it served as a coal-shed after the war and as an office and bike store for 10 years or so before being converted into a delightful little romantic retreat for honeymooners and couples. The cottage with its stone steps and railings is a cosy little inverted (ground floor bedroom with ensuite wet-room/first floor lounge/kitchen) and well equipped cottage which provides an ideal little hideaway for a romantic few days in the Cotswolds or a quiet respite away from the everyday hustle and bustle of city life. Recently refurbished, its cosy, yet light and airy open plan first floor sitting room with a kitchen/dining area can be accessed through a new oak door (through which you get a delightful view of the banked and tree lined lane) from the top of the traditional old stone steps or internally via a stairway from the ground floor bedroom.
Facilities
The fitted limed oak kitchen includes electric oven, induction hob, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, steamer, washer/drier, coffee maker, toaster, etc. The dining table will seat at least 4 and the sofa-bed can provide additional short term sleeping space for a couple of guests. A 40 inch colour television is provided for your entertainment. Thanks to a new gas fired central heating system, the ground floor double bedroom is snug and enjoys a built in wardrobe, 22 inch colour television and an oak table for your computer (Wi-Fi included), etc. The ensuite wet-room is wheelchair accessible, has a comfort height toilet, wall mounted shower seat and suitable vertical and horizontal bars to provide additional support. There is parking for one car alongside the steps and access to the farm's colourful 300 year old garden.
