Within easy reach are the glorious South Downs, Portsmouth and Spinnaker Tower, waterside dining, extensive designer shopping, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, Winchester Cathedral, Southampton with its extensive maritime history, the vast heathland walks and riding in the New Forest, historic Chichester, beaches at Witterings or Hayling Island. London is about an hour by train from nearby Petersfield.
