This is an exceptional destination, a luxurious holiday rental in a historic house and, most fundamentally, a distinctive home that offers opportunities for larger groups or families to come together for weekend breaks, holidays and special occasions.
Access
The ground floor of the cottage is all on one level with a wooden floor throughout. There is a ground floor double-twin room and an accessible wet-room with shower seat and grab rails. The open plan kitchen, diner and sitting room open onto a decked terrace and wheelchair-friendly small walled garden with handrails. A variety of birds visit the garden and our little nesting box is regularly in use. There is a step-free route from the side door of the cottage to the back door of the on-site house. There are two ramps on the route and no steps into the house. There are steps within the house.
Accommodation
Downstairs the large light kitchen/dining/sitting room provides a relaxed and contemporary living space. Glass double doors blur the lines between inside and the outside, making the decking area, al fresco dining area, barbecue and garden easily accessible for outdoor living.
There are two bedrooms on the first floor, a double, and a twin that can be made a double. There is also a family bathroom. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom and wet room that has disabled access. The beds are super-comfortable with middle-firmness mattresses, soft duvets and luxury cotton sheets, and you will find a generous bundle of soft white towels in each room.
Facilities
The cottage has a contemporary feel with large light open plan living space, its own private decking and garden, barbecue and outside dining furniture. It also has disabled facilities with a downstairs bedroom and wet room.
Guests will find the cottage comfortable and well equipped with games including boules and jenga, al fresco dining area, barbecue and garden easily accessible for outdoor living.
