This guest house is located in North Devon on the edge of Exmoor between Barnstaple, Umberleigh and Torrington. It is ideally situated for exploring North Devon’s National Trust houses such as Arlington Court and Dunster Castle. RHS Rosemoor and the South West Coastal Path and villages including Clovelly, Hartland and Instow are nearby.
Enjoy tea and fresh home baked cakes with our compliments on arrival at the guest house to help you unwind after your journey to North Devon. A small friendly Guest House combining the utmost comfort with excellent service where nothing is too much trouble and the home cooked four course dinner adds the finishing touches to a truly wonderful day. With well equipped spacious en-suite rooms, large gardens and grounds all set in 30 tranquil acres on the edge of Exmoor it is ideally situated for touring.
Access
There is 1 Wheelchair accessible room in this guest house. It has ramped access from the parking area. Along with spacious ensuite wet room, with moveable stool for use at sink and frame over toilet.
Accommodation
All guest rooms are en-suite. Each of the spacious Double Rooms and the Twin room, have their own special unique designs for your comfort. With plenty of character offering a warm ambience with fabulous views. There are 4 types of guest rooms.
Accessible guest bedroom is a wheelchair accessible room with ramp access directly from the car park which is outside the door. The en-suite is a spacious wet room consisting of shower with moveable stool for use at the sink and frame over toilet. The bedroom is well furnished with twin beds which can be converted to a large double on request. It has a remote controlled TV and DVD unit, tea and coffee facilities and many more extras for your comfort. Views from the room extend over the car park to the cottage garden and beyond to rolling Devon countryside.
The Woodpecker is a family guest bedroom with ramp access directly from the car park which is outside the door. It is suitable for those with restricted mobility but is not wheelchair accessible into the room itself. This spacious bedroom consists of a large King size bed and an interconnecting door to a smaller room with a bed which can be made into a twin or double, making the bedroom ideal for families.
Arlington - Large ensuite room with King size bed and single bed. Along with two high back chairs to relax in. With a view of the gorgeous large cottage garden that sweeps down through the valley and out over the hills.
Marwood - Spacious ensuite room with wonderful panoramic view. Two parker knowl chairs to unwind in after a day of sight seeing whilst taking in the view through your picture window offersscenery out across the grounds of West Down.
Facilities
All rooms are well equipped with a coloured television, tea making facilities, hair dryer, iron and many little Extras to make your stay memorable.
Food and Drink
A full and varied menu is available and special diets are catered for. All vegetables and fruit where possible are grown fresh in the garden or frozen fresh for use out of season. Indulge in a selection of home made sweets from the trolley to finish off your meal.
