Location
Located in the south of the Deux Sevres, Les Cerisiers’ recently converted 19th century barn offers two spacious three bedroom gîtes - designed by an architect to provide flexible accommodation suitable for families, friends, and wheelchair users. 5 minutes from the town of Lezay by car, where you can go for a supermarket, bakeries, chemists, bars, restaurants, and the park – including a fishing lake, play area, tennis and boules courts, and picnic benches. The town comes to life during the outdoor market.

At further distances, you can visit the historical town of Melle, a silver mine founded in the reign of Charlemagne, featuring Romanesque style churches built in the 11th and 12th centuries, and including the walk ‘Arboretum, Chemin de la Découverte' featuring over 1000 species of trees and shrubs, and over 100 roses. You can also visit the monkey park ‘La Vallée des Singes’ including restaurants and picnic areas, the amusement park ‘Futuroscope’, and see the reconstruction of the historical frigate Hermione.

Access
General facilities:

• All plug sockets and light switches are 1 m high.
• Internal doors on the ground floor are 1 m wide.
• Kitchen areas have a lowered worktop, and space for a wheelchair underneath.
• Wet rooms include self-propelled shower chairs, and grab rails, with a wheel-in shower.

Accommodation
Les Cerisiers features two 3-bedroom gîtes, both with a fenced private courtyard, garden, and pool.

Les Ecureuils
General amenities:

• A double room and a twin room on the ground floor, and a double room on the first floor.
• A lounge featuring a woodburner, TV with freeview channels, and a DVD player.
• Spacious wet room with a shower, toilet, and lowered hand basin, and also a separate toilet with a hand basin and shaving point.
• Patio doors leading onto a terrace.
• Terrace including a table and chairs, barbeque, and a swing chair.
• Oval above ground pool, approximately 10x5 m, and 1.2 m deep. Includes a gate for security, a ladder from the pool onto the raised decking, and roman steps into the pool.

Les Grenouilles

• One double room on the ground floor, featuring an ensuite wet room, and a twin room and double room on the first floor.
• A lounge featuring a woodburner, TV with freeview channels, and a DVD player.
• Patio doors lead to a courtyard garden with a table and chairs, sun loungers, and a barbeque.
• An above ground octagonal wooden pool, 6x4 m and 1.2 m deep, with a removable wooden ladder.

Facilities
Both gîtes have an encompassing range of self-catering facilities to make your meal while you’re on holiday, including a fridge and freezer, microwave, gas cooker with hobs, kettle, toaster, and a coffee maker. Both gîtes also have a dishwasher.

Equipment
Commode shower chairs, hoists, scooters and other mobility equipment are available for hire. This must be arranged at time of booking holiday.
