Location
Situated along a quiet country lane, Julia’s and Joseph’s lie 50 yards apart in a beautiful, rural area with magnificent views across Dunmanus Bay to the Sheep’s Head Peninsula. Named after the former owners, these superbly renovated, detached farmhouses are 3 miles from the village of Goleen on the Mizen Peninsula, which forms part of the Wild Atlantic Way. These holiday properties are a few hundred yards from the rocky shoreline and a little pier, and the surrounding roads offer walking opportunities where you are immersed in the wonderful land and seascape. The Mizen Head Visitor Centre at Ireland’s most south-westerly point is well worth a visit.
Crookhaven village has an interesting history, and its harbour offers summer sailing opportunities. Whether swimming, walking or surfing, the glorious beach at Barleycove is a delight. Schull, 10 miles, has a good selection of shops, seasonal water sports, sea angling and Ireland’s only planetarium. From here, you can get a ferry to Cape Clear Island, the largest of Carbery’s Hundred Isles, or embark on the Fastnet Tour. This is also an excellent base for touring further afield. Bantry, Glengarriff and Garnish Island, and the other stunning peninsulas of west Cork, are just some of the numerous options for day trips. The work of local artists, craft workers and artisan food producers can be found in the villages and towns throughout the area. Horse riding available nearby. Beach 4¼ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3¼ miles.

The property has a ground floor bedroom which has an en-suite wet room with a shower seat and grab rails.

Utility room. 1 double bedroom with adjoining living area and en-suite wet room with shower seat and toilet. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, shower attachment and toilet. Open-tread stairs to first floor: 2 double bedrooms (6ft, can be twin on request), both with access to shared en-suite shower room with toilet.
