Location
Irrespective of whether you are a wheelchair user or not,
Salvatore and Ellen Avagliano created Centro Ferie Salvatore in the village of San Felice Circeo
to offer a holiday in Italy with sun, sand, sea, and good food in an atmosphere where you feel relaxed,
In this beautiful region at the foot of "Monte Circeo" (south of Rome) everybody feels at home.
The center has it's own private beach one mile away. You can easily reach it on foot. You can also shop in
a nearby village, or make use of the free transport service. The shuttle service is fully equipped with
proper lifts and ramps to get to the beach and back to the center.
With ramps and tile paths on to the
beach and the sea, it is very accessible. Showers, changing rooms and toilets are all of course wheelchair
accessible on the beach. With a small fee you rent an umbrella or sun bed and the life guards and
staff will help you into the Mediterranean Sea. You don't have to use your own wheelchair because the
center provides specialized water proof wheelchairs. Even children can go swimming here without any danger
because the sea becomes deeper at a slow pace; there is no current or breaking waves. Close to the beach
are two lovely bars.
San Felice Circeo is one of the oldest cities in Italy. It's history begins with
the Neanderthal man, whose bones were found in a cave near the port. Today San Felice Circeo is very
lively during the summer holidays when a lot of Italians spend their holidays there.
Before and after those months it transforms itself into a typical mediterranean
village.

walking impairments are able to access everything from the restaurant, Bar,

of which are, of course, suitable for wheelchair clients.
