Location
The hotel is a charitable Trust set-up by the Lions Club of Jersey to provide holidays in Jersey specifically for people with a disability along with their family, friends and carers.
The hotel is situated 9 miles from St. Helier on the gorse and heather covered headlands of Les Landes, with panoramic views of St. Ouen's Bay and the Atlantic. The beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel are an ideal place to relax and soak up the Jersey sunshine. In the evening the comfortable lounge is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the company of other guests.
With the all inclusive package, at no extra cost, guests can enjoy daily sightseeing tours conducted by knowledgeable and caring drivers in their specially-equipped minibuses, visiting major places of interest, Jersey’s magnificent beaches and shopping centres.
Access
Great access in and around the property due to this hotel being specially adapted for wheelchair users helping to make their guests stay as easy and stress free as possible.
Accommodation
There are 26 bedrooms, set up as three 3-bedded rooms, eighteen twin-bedded rooms and five singles. Eighteen are on the ground floor with the remainder on the first floor which are accessible by Stair-lift. Most rooms have a hoist and a walk-in/wheel-in shower, as well as a TV and tea/coffee-making facilities. Importantly, all rooms have emergency call buttons.
Fourteen of the ground floor rooms are fitted with electric beds and low pressure mattresses are available on request.
In addition, there are 2 bedrooms tucked away in a quiet corner of the hotel gardens (but still with wheelchair accessibility to the hotel) that have been completely refurbished and fitted out as studio apartments with cooking facilities (2 electric rings, combination microwave/oven/grill, fridge/freezer and so on). Each studio can be set up as a twin or double-bedded room, on request, and they can be combined as one unit for a group of four.
Facilities
The hotel provides a wide range of evening entertainment, ranging from bingo evenings, karaoke sessions, pub quizzes, ten-pin bowling, boules/petanque and visiting entertainers.
The hotel also has a large indoor heated swimming pool specially designed with wheelchair ramps and hoists for ease of access and exit and hotel staff are available to assist guests into and out of the pool.
Food and Drink
The dining room is easily accessible for all guests and caters for most dietary requests. Accommodation is provided on a full board basis. The tariff is based on breakfast, picnic or packed lunch, evening meal and includes daily (except Sunday) mini-bus tours. Please note, drinks are not included in the price.
