Vidamar Resort is a five star resort located in the heart of Funchal, Madeira. Boasting an exclusive ocean side location with direct access to the sea and a beautiful setting that is surrounded by tropical palm trees guests can enjoy stunning views of Funchal Bay and the surrounding area.
Access
There are three rooms available for disabled customers. Both the Gardsen Sea View and Ocean View room type is available with disabled access. They have wider doorways. The bathroom has a wheel-in shower, grab rails and a wall-mounted shower chair. There is an elevator to all floors and the restaurants and bars are accessible. The outdoor pool is accessible by stairs with a rail. Staff are happy to help people to enter the pool.
Accommodation
There are three types of room and one type of suite available. The Garden Sea View and the Ocean View Rooms differ only in the view from the balcony. Both have King, Queen or large twin beds, sofa, dining table, Plasma TV and free Wi Fi. All rooms have balconies. Marble bathrooms have a bathtub, shower, bidet with twin wash basins.
The Family room and suite have some extra features.
Superior Family Ocean View Room
Ideal for families, these spacious 51 m2 rooms have two separate bedrooms with one King Bed and two twin beds. A small lounge area offers a place to relax with the TV or usage of a free Wi Fi. The spacious family bathrooms have a whirlpool bath, bidet, and twin wash basins. Balconies have 4 chairs with fantastic ocean views.
Ocean View Suite Rooms
These spacious 51 m2 suites have a separate bedroom with King Size bed with a deep sleep pillow selection. . The living room has a comfortable sofa and chair, dining table, desk and TV. Located on the top floor the balcony view offers a panoramic view of the ocean and beyond. The marble bathroom has a bath, shower, bidet, and twin wash basins.
Facilities
The Resort boasts a wide range of facilities. All rooms are equipped with individual air-conditioned/heated system, cable TV, sitting area and desk, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities, free safe and Wi-Fi.

Food and Drink
There are five different restaurants from Madeirense cuisine to Italian and even Japanese. Those on half board basis may choose to eat at whichever restaurant they like. Restaurant reservations must be made 24 hours in advanced. Drinks are not included.

Commode shower chairs, hoists, scooters and other mobility equipment are available for hire. This must be arranged at the time of booking your holiday.
Adapted Transfers
Airport transfers available in wheelchair adapted vehicles. Transfer time from Airport is approximately 30 minutes.
