Bio Holiday Park is a fully accessible holiday park in Arnhem, originally built as a children’s rehabilitation centre. The park offers a fantastic range of facilities for disabled and able-bodied children of all ages to enjoy themselves, and provides all necessary aid for a great family holiday. The bungalows and surrounding park are completely accessible.
Access
The park offers a specially adapted swimming pool, and a variety of children’s activities suited for both able and disabled. All of the facilities on site and the bungalows are wide and spacious, with wide corridors and electric sliding doors.
The Bio swimming pool has a number of standard lifts, shower beds, and a wheelchair available. Children with disabilities can access the pool using one of the two available hydraulic lifts.
Accessible bathrooms are equipped with shower beds and wheelchairs. Most bedrooms have direct access to the bathroom. The living room and kitchens of the holiday bungalows are very large, allowing even bedridden guests to participate in family gatherings.
As a standard, each bungalow comes with a passive lift, a height-adjustable shower couch, a shower chair and several height-adjustable beds. Certain bungalows are also equipped with other more specific aids, to suit your needs. Additional equipment can also be arranged on request with your booking.
Accommodation
The park has a range of bungalows, all of which are suited for guests with complex needs. Bungalows of all sizes are available, to accommodate any size of group visiting. All of the bungalows are spacious, open, and brightly-lit, with standard amenities and furnishings, and useful utilities you need on your holiday such as a self-catering kitchen.
Facilities
Bio Holiday Park has a dedicated animation team and activity program to include all children visiting the park, where they can participate with other children safely, independently, and with the supervision of the team.
There are a wide range of facilities available to guests, such as the park’s own cinema, horse riding (with specialist experience staff to make the experience accessible for everyone), accessible wagon trips through the scenery (with an overhead cover) and carriage trips, specialist sensory rooms and engaging virtual experiences, and the park’s own swimming pool, which can be reserved.
The park’s meeting lounge includes coffee and refreshments, and there are newspapers and computers available to use, televisions, and a variety of games consoles. You can reserve activities, and borrow books, DVDs, and Blu-rays.
