Looking for understated luxury, a special place to unwind, a base for outdoor adventures or a wedding venue?. The cottage is on a croft on the Ardnamurchan penninsula, with stunning mountain views across the Strontian glen. As a Green Tourism Gold Award business the owners take into account the needs of the environment, local residents, businesses, and visitors.

Accommodation
Sleeping up to 8 in 4 bedrooms, Honeysuckle is perfect for larger groups of family or friends.
The kitchen is superbly equipped for those who like to cook. There’s both an Aga and electric oven, along with an induction hob, Magimix food-processor, hand held electric whisk, plenty of saucepans (including big ones) and sharp knives. The house has been designed so whoever is cooking is not excluded from what’s going on in the main living area. It is warm, well insulated, has underfloor-heating, a large wood-burning stove and as much wood and kindling as you need.
There is lots of space in the enormous sitting/dining room with free wireless broadband, a TV, Blu-ray/DVD and CD player. The large sun room has spectacular views across the glen to the hills, gives access to the hot tub and is stocked with books, DVD’s, puzzles and board games.
There’s a large drying room in the porch area for wet clothes and boots. Well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement and with care, although it is preferred that they sleep in the indoor porch area and they are not allowed upstairs, in bedrooms or on soft furnishings.
There are two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. The double rooms have king-size beds and both twin rooms can be turned into super king-size zip and link doubles. One of the twin rooms also has bunk-beds and we have two additional single beds which can be added anywhere (extra charge). This must be reserved at time of booking. There are large goose-down duvets (synthetic are available), extremely comfortable mattresses and no sofa-beds, so everyone should get a good night’s sleep.
All four bedrooms are en-suite, are fully tiled with underfloor heating and are stocked with huge fluffy towels, soaps and loo paper. There is a huge double ended bath and a shower in one and the others have showers with the newly refurbished downstairs wet room suitable for wheelchair users.

Wine
A fresh homemade loaf of bread

The cottage is self catering, however the own make a pretty decent beef casserole and a vegetarian option if you prefer to have a night off!
Most of the year there should have a good supply of fresh eggs from our own hens and ducks. These are available for you to purchase and enjoy. Between the end of May to October there will have a variety of vegetables and soft fruit available which have grown on the croft. While not certified, the aim is to grow everything using organic principles and no chemicals are used anywhere on the land.
