Location
This self-catering property is in a peaceful location in historic Kilmartin Glen. It is near to Moine Mhor, a National Nature Reserve. Crinan Basin, Crinan Canal and Kilmartin are nearby, and the town of Lochgilphead is 6 miles away, with excellent shopping.
Activities close by include boat trips, gardens, lochs and coastlines to explore. There are a lot of prehistoric sites nearby, some of which can be visited in a wheelchair. The tourist towns of Oban and Inveraray can be visited by car. There is a selection of pubs, hotels and restaurants in the area, with information in the house about wheelchair access to these. The surrounding roads are quiet and level, and could be explored in a wheelchair.
Access
A wheelchair user can get round the whole house except the second shower room, and all the doors are all really wide.
The property has two shower rooms. The accessible one is a wheel-in wet room, with accessible basin, and a raised toilet with two drop down rails. There is a shower stool, and two grab rails in the shower. A tilting shower chair with commode is provided. The other shower room has a shower, basin and toilet - please note this room is not accessible for a wheelchair user.
In the second bedroom, there is an electric Theraposture profiling bed. This has two rails on each side that can be raised or lowered, and the whole bed can be raised and lowered. There is a battery-powered Oxford Mini 140 Hoist in the property, guests must bring their own sling to use with the hoist.
Please note that there are 2 shallow steps into the conservatory, but there is a suitcase ramp to enable wheelchair users to get access. The patio outside is accessible in a wheelchair from the main ramp at the front of the house.
Accommodation
There are three bedrooms in the property, sleeping a total of 5 people. The first room has a superkingsize double bed, which can also be made into two single beds. The second bedroom has the profiling bed, and another single bed. The third bedroom is a small room with a single bed.

The accessible property is well-equipped. The living room is spacious and contains a woodburning stove. There is BT TV and WiFi, as well as a DVD/BluRay player. There is a double sofa, matching chair, and a double-motor riser-recliner chair. Adjacent to the living room is the dining room, which has a table seating up to 6 people. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, with washer/dryer and dishwasher. There is a conservatory with glorious views of Dunadd Fort at the front, and Moine Mhor at the back, with distant views of hills.
There is a large garden, with grass at the front and back of the house. There is also a wild part of the garden with a burn running through.
All towels and linen are provided, and the property is warm and easily heated.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. Please do not allow your dog on furniture or beds, or leave it on its own in the property. You will need to bring a bed, food and dishes for the dog.

This is a perfect stay for anyone who wants peace and quiet, and stunning views. It is suitable for 2-5 people, and there is enough space for a mixed family party to enjoy a holiday.
