A stay at The Friendly Moose offers a fantastic range of activities and experiences for families, friends and groups to enjoy together. Hosts Paul and Maria will help you to experience all that Swedish and Finnish Lapland have to offer and will endeavour to make all the activities as accessible as possible for all guests.

Situated in Övertorneå, The Friendly Moose has a shared lounge, garden, tennis court, and free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. There is free private parking and the property features free airport shuttle service.

Accommodation
The Big Moose Apartment:
A beautiful space with stunning views, The Big Moose apartment comfortably sleeps 4 guests (5 guests if using sofa bed). The beds are 1 x electric head and feet adjustable bed (mattress height 22inch, but can be raised on request), 1 x further single bed, 1 x extra king-size bed and 1 x Sofa double bed for extra guest/s.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has a spacious breakfast/dining area (L-shaped 5 m x 4m longest dimensions). There is an oven/hob, full-size American style fridge freezer with ice dispenser, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker etc. The Wet-room is 2.5m x 2m with grab bars, shower handrail, over-head and handheld shower, height adjustable shower seat with arms (stool version available) and raised WC with hand rails. Available to everyone is shared use of the Cosy room for relaxing and social time with a charming wood-burning stove. Perfect for cosying up next to with a book! Please note that all doors have a minimum width of 90 cm. Guests can also use the decking area and outdoor bbq areas.

Additional equipment available:
Birdie Mobile Hoist (max 180kg). Guests need to provide own sling/harness, Bed and table raising blocks, Bed Support Rail, Bed rails for children, V- pillow., Wheelblades to attach to front castors to help wheelchair movement through snow, wetroom assistance call cord.

The Little Moose Apartment :
A lovely apartment with the added bonus of a private veranda, The Little Moose apartment sleeps up to 4 guests with two welcoming double bedrooms ( 6.4 m x 3m and 4m x 4m). The beds are 1 x electric head and feet adjustable single bed (mattress height 22 inches but can be increased) 1 x extra king-size bed and 1 x single bed.

There is a fully equipped kitchen breakfast and dining area (6m x 2.5m). Cooker/hob, full-size fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker etc. The wet room (2m x 1.6m) has grab bars, over-head hand held shower, height adjustable shower seat, raised WC with hand rails. With the Little Moose, you are treated to direct access to a private outdoor veranda with views of the Northern sky and the river Tornea. Shared use of cosy lounge with wood-burning stove. Please note that most doors have a width in excess of 81.5cm, but the entrance door width and wetroom door width is 74cm.

For guests with special requirements :
Please note that due to the smaller dimensions, this wetroom is perhaps better suited to guests who are able to approach the facilities from the front and who are also a little more mobile. It is a very tight space for turning a wheelchair/transferring inside the wetroom. Please ask if further details required.
