Barnacre Cottages are situated in the beautiful Lancashire countryside near Garstang. There are six cottages on site and 'Woodpecker' is the largest and has six bedrooms with two on the ground floor. The spacious communal living area also has access on to a large verandah.

Standing on the brow of the hill at the top of the seven-acre field, Woodpecker Cottage enjoys panoramic views towards the coast and the Lake District. The cottage is both accessible and of high specification however please note although the wet rooms in 'Woodpecker' are spacious there are no grab rails in place at present.

You may be wondering what a Family Fund Holiday grant is, seeing as we advertise it so much.

Basically, the grant is provided by Family Fund, which is a charity for families with severely disabled children. 
You can apply to them for a variety of different things like kitchen appliances, sensory toys, computers or tablets, or something to help with college for 16 and 17 year olds and of course, a family holiday. Your family must meet a criteria laid out by them in order to qualify for a grant.

Nelly's Cottage - Low Cornriggs Farm, England - Accessible Accommodation in UK

Low Cornriggs is a traditional working hill farm, parts of which date back over 200 years. It is located in the heart of Weardale with views over the High Pennines. Alice and Nelly's Cottages are newly built, both are 3 bedroomed and have been designed to be suitable for wheelchair users with wide hallways and wheel-in showers.

The cottage at the front entrance hall , leads to a large open plan area leading off to the lounge, and across the corridor  is the  kitchen and the three bedrooms. and two bath rooms, A warm cosy traditionally furnished in red with  two large comfortable sofas, log effect stove, which can be operated by remote control. Edwardian writing desk with books .Radio. Colour  Satalite Freeview TV, DVD  Video. Coffee table and lamps. Beautiful Large fully fitted kitchen with dining table in beech that seats six or more. Electric oven and grill with halogen hob, microwave, dishwasher, slow cooker,4 slice toaster, double sinks, washing machine, large fridge/freezer, CD player with radio.

Large open corridor that leads to all the bedrooms. Double bed room looks onto the garden at the rear. Beautifully furnished in pinewood, good-sized room with king size bed (with duvets) and bedside cupboards with large bedside lamps wardrobe and drawers and wardrobe. Colour TV and a large  en-suite bathroom with bath and handrails, space around WC down rails, two washbasins one with handrails.

Across the corridor are the two large twin bedrooms. Twin en-suite has a bedroom that is behind the lounge, which is tastefully furnished with pine, with two large three-foot wide beds with beautiful bed linen (with duvets) and trows .bedside cupboards and lamps. There is also wardrobe space and drawers. Twin en-suite is at the back of the cottage looking onto the garden this is also decorated in pine and tastefully decorated with two large three foot wide beds with beautiful bed linen (with duvets) and trows , bedside tables and lamps. The room also has a wardrobe, dressing table, stool and easy chair that is move-able and useful for someone who needs a little more comfort. Shower room with roll in shower and handrails with plenty of space around the WC. There are two washbasins. Rear Door leads out to seating area, patio and sheltered garden with access through archway to the front of the cottage leading to amazing panoramic views from the front of the cottage across the valley.Don't worry if it snows we have a snow bucket for the tractor to keep the access clear.

Just two miles from St. Bride's Bay in Pembrokeshire, Rosemoor's Country Cottages and Nature Reserve offer an excellent base for a relaxing, luxury cottage holiday. You will find Rosemoor's cottages a perfect base to enjoy the sea, beaches, Pembrokeshire Coast Path and islands, as well as the peace and quiet of the Welsh countryside and the birds and other wildlife all around us.

Apple Cottage (sleeping six people) has a very cosy living room with direct access to its own patio and the garden. The ground floor bedroom with a double bed has a very roomy en-suite with full disabled facilities, including a wheel-in shower. Apple Cottage is most certainly one of our flagship holiday cottages. It has a very cosy living room with direct access to its own patio and the garden. At the far end of the living room is the galley shaped kitchen: open plan, so the cook is not cut off from the living room, but kitchen "mess" is largely invisible. Worktops are solid slate, and the high quality appliances include a dishwasher. Like Peace Cottage, Apple Cottage also has slate floors with underfloor heating in hallway, living room and kitchen and a woodburning stove in the living room.
